How to configure SEO for Webinars

What is SEO?

Search engine optimization is the process of improving the quality and quantity of website traffic to a website or a web page from search engines. SEO targets unpaid traffic rather than direct traffic or paid traffic

How to configure SEO on your Hubilo event?

Once the event page is made live, it means that you have put in the content, the look and feel in place for the event page to be released to the world.

The important aspect now is to increase the relevant organic traffic to your website.

When we say Organic traffic we mean Visitors who find your event page after using a search engine like Google or Bing, so they are not “referred” by any other website. The key to increasing organic traffic is through search engine optimization.

The dashboard certainly makes it easy for you to seep in the required elements for SEO listed below:

  1. Title

  2. Meta Keyword

  3. Meta description

  4. Banner for FB/Twitter Share

Here is how to do that:

Step 1 - Access the Setting > SEO section on the dashboard

Step 2 - Now you are simply required to fill in the relevant details.

If you are unable to find this option on your dashboard, please get in touch with your designated manager.

Page Title - This is the name that shows up for the webpage in the browser tabs. Please see the image below for reference.

Meta Keywords - They are a specific type of meta tag that appears in the HTML code of a Web page and helps tell search engines what the topic of the page is. Meta keywords are distinguished from regular keywords because they appear “behind the scenes,” in the source code of your page, rather than on the live, visible page itself.

Meta Description - The meta description is a snippet of up to about 155 characters – a tag in HTML – which summarizes a page's content. Search engines show the meta description in search results mostly when the searched-for phrase is within the description, so optimizing the meta description is crucial for on-page SEO.

FB/Twitter Share Banner - You must have noticed that now when you share a web link on Facebook, Twitter, or even WhatsApp a Preview picture pops up along with the post. This helps viewers get a peek into what the website is about. You can simply add this to your website by clicking on the plus icon.

Click "Save" and now your event page is SEO-friendly.

Cheat Code - it's never a bad idea to seek help from a friend or colleague who is into digital marketing for tips when it comes to meta keywords and meta descriptions.
